Quick Scans in Traceable provide a fast and focused way to test your APIs for security vulnerabilities within a specific environment. You can customize the scan by selecting the traffic type, assets, vulnerability types, and how it should be executed. Quick Scans are ideal for ad hoc testing, helping you validate specific scenarios or API changes without setting up a full suite.

AST Dashboard Quick Scan View
The Quick Scan widget on the API Security Suites page provides a summarized view of vulnerabilities across a set of scans. In the above screenshot, All Environments is selected from the drop-down list. Hence, Quick Scan is greyed out. To create a quick scan, you must choose a specific environment.
Traceable shows the Quick Scan widget with the following information:
The Status of the scan
The number of Vulnerabilities detected in the last 10 scans, segregated by Severity (Low, Medium, High, and Critical).
A graph depicting the vulnerabilities in each scan. You can also hover over each bar to view the vulnerability segregation.
Now that you understand Quick Scans, you can create one. For information on the steps to do this, see Creating a Quick Scan.
