## 2.2.0 — 16th July

Traceable’s Istio agent 2.2.0 provides the following updates:

### Updates

#### Add support for configuring `grpc_service` to be one of `envoy_grpc` / `google_grpc`

This update introduces configurability for the `grpc_service` parameter, allowing users to choose between `envoy_grpc` and `google_grpc` implementations tailored to their environment and preferences.

#### Add agent token support in metadata of filter to support multi-tenancy

The filter metadata now supports including agent tokens, enabling better multi-tenant isolation and secure identification of tenants within Istio deployments.
