AI/ML Usage in Traceable

Prev

Traceable does not currently leverage any third-party Generative AI within the platform. AI is implemented through statistical machine learning models, which do not send data externally to a third party and operate solely on the data of a single account, meaning there is no cross-pollination of Traceable customer information. The platform utilizes ML algorithms to analyze and understand the context of API transactions in real-time. This allows the platform to detect anomalies and identify potential malicious activities based on the specific context of each transaction by considering factors such as user behavior, transaction patterns, and historical data, Traceable can accurately identify suspicious activities that may indicate a security threat.

These ML-based detection capabilities enhance the platform's ability to identify sophisticated attacks and provide proactive protection against evolving threats. Traceable employs multiple machine learning mechanisms to establish a baseline for API usage and user behavior. This baseline is crucial for identifying deviations that could signify anomalous or malicious activities. The platform continuously monitors API traffic, leveraging advanced ML algorithms to detect unusual patterns that could indicate an attack or misuse.

Traceable can swiftly identify and respond to potential threats by analyzing real-time API calls. In addition to real-time monitoring, Traceable's ML capabilities extend to threat detection and monitoring. The platform analyzes collected API traffic to detect behavioral anomalies and potential threats. This involves sophisticated machine learning algorithms that scrutinize API calls to identify unusual patterns that could indicate an attack or misuse. Traceable can quickly identify deviations that may signal a security issue by maintaining a comprehensive understanding of normal API behavior.

Traceable's ML-based detection capabilities are integral to its fraud and bot security features. The platform can identify and prevent fraudulent transactions and block automated bots that may attempt to exploit API endpoints. By analyzing transaction patterns and user behavior, Traceable can effectively detect and mitigate these threats.

Protection of Customer Data

Traceable’s data classification engine will identify and suppress sensitive data at collection time and before any ML activities. The suppression of sensitive data utilizes SHA256 salted hashing to replace data with unique values that maintain API protection efficacy. See Data Classification for further details on protecting sensitive data within the Traceable platform.
