- *October 2025* — Updated the page to reflect the actions for the AI Security dashboard in the Traceable platform.

The Home, AI Security, and Custom [Dashboards](/docs/boards) enable you to monitor API activity, performance, and security while providing customization options. With Traceable, you can tailor dashboards according to your requirements by resetting views, updating details, or managing widgets through actions like adding, resizing, or deleting. This flexibility ensures your dashboards remain relevant while focusing on critical insights for effective monitoring and decision-making.

## Add Widgets

You can add up to 12 widgets to a dashboard. To add a widget to the dashboard, complete the following steps:

1. Log in to the Traceable platform and navigate to **Boards**→**Home**, **AI Security**, or **Custom**.
2. Do one of the following:
  - For **Home** and **AI Security** **Dashboard**:
    1. In the page’s top right corner, click the **Ellipse** icon → **Edit**.
    2. In the page’s top right corner or bottom left corner, click + **Add Widget**.
  - For **Custom Dashboards**:
    1. Click the **Ellipse** icon → **Edit** corresponding to the dashboard where you wish to add the widget.
    2. In the page’s top right corner, click + **Add Widget**.
3. Refer to the document for your respective widget and complete the steps in it according to your requirements. For example, Table under [Widget Configuration](/docs/widgets#widget-configuration).

## Clone Widgets

To duplicate a widget on the dashboard, complete the following steps:

1. Log in to the Traceable platform and navigate to **Boards**→**Home** or **Custom**.
2. Do one of the following:
  - For **Home**and **AI Security Dashboard**, in the page’s top right corner, click the **Ellipse** icon → **Edit**.
  - For **Custom Dashboards**, click the **Ellipse** icon → **Edit** corresponding to the dashboard where you wish to clone the widget.
3. On the top right corner of the widget you want to duplicate, click the **Ellipse**(![traceable_ellipse_icon](https://cdn.document360.io/24f14f07-13d1-4684-8fae-6d8f811768ee/Images/Documentation/traceable_ellipse_icon.png)) icon → **Clone**. The duplicate widget is added to the end of the row.

You can now modify the widget according to your requirements. For more information, see [Widget Configuration](/docs/widgets#widget-configuration).

## Modify Widgets

To modify a widget on the dashboard according to your requirements, complete the following steps:

1. Log in to the Traceable platform and navigate to **Boards**→**Home** or **Custom**.
2. Do one of the following:
  - For **Home**and **AI Security** **Dashboard**, in the page’s top right corner, click the **Ellipse** icon → **Edit**.
  - For **Custom Dashboards**, click the **Ellipse** icon → **Edit** corresponding to the dashboard where you wish to modify the widget.
3. On the top right corner of the widget you want to modify, click the **Ellipse** (![traceable_ellipse_icon](https://cdn.document360.io/24f14f07-13d1-4684-8fae-6d8f811768ee/Images/Documentation/traceable_ellipse_icon.png)) icon → **Edit**.
4. Refer to the document of your respective widget and complete the steps in it according to your requirements. For example, Table under [Widget Configuration](/docs/widgets#widget-configuration).

## Remove Widgets

To remove a widget from the dashboard, complete the following steps:

1. Log in to the Traceable platform and navigate to **Boards**→**Home** or **Custom**.
2. Do one of the following:
  - For **Home**and**AI Security Dashboard**, in the page’s top right corner, click the **Ellipse** icon → **Edit**.
  - For **Custom Dashboards**, click the **Ellipse** icon → **Edit** corresponding to the dashboard where you wish to remove the widget.
3. On the widget’s top right corner, click the **Ellipse**(![traceable_ellipse_icon](https://cdn.document360.io/24f14f07-13d1-4684-8fae-6d8f811768ee/Images/Documentation/traceable_ellipse_icon.png)) icon → **Delete**.
4. In the confirmation window, click **Delete Widget**.

> A widget once deleted, cannot be restored.

## Modify the Name and Description of Widgets

To modify the name and description of a widget visible on the dashboard, complete the following steps:

1. Log in to the Traceable platform and navigate to **Boards**→**Home** or **Custom**.
2. Do one of the following:
  - For **Home**and**AI Security Dashboard**, in the page’s top right corner, click the **Ellipse** icon → **Edit**.
  - For **Custom Dashboards**, click the **Ellipse** icon → **Edit** corresponding to the dashboard where you wish to make the changes.
3. Click a widget's name or description and modify it according to your requirements. For example, *Discovery*to *API Count by Auth Type*.

## Modify the Placement and Size of Widgets

To modify the size and placement of widgets on the dashboard, complete the following steps:

1. Log in to the Traceable platform and navigate to **Boards**→**Home** or **Custom**.
2. Do one of the following:
  - For **Home**and**AI Security Dashboard**, in the page’s top right corner, click the **Ellipse** icon → **Edit**.
  - For **Custom Dashboards**, click the **Ellipse** icon → **Edit** corresponding to the dashboard where you wish to make the changes.
3. Complete one of the following according to your requirements:
  - In the space between two widgets, click and drag your mouse pointer to increase or decrease the height or width of the widget.
  - Click and drag the widget to the desired position on the dashboard.

The following demo shows how to modify the size and placement of widgets in the home dashboard.

## Modify the Dashboard’s Name and Description

To modify the name and description of a dashboard, complete the following steps:

1. Log in to the Traceable platform and navigate to **Boards**→**Home** or **Custom**.
2. Do one of the following:
  - For **Home**and**AI Security Dashboard**, in the page’s top right corner, click the **Ellipse** icon → **Edit**.
  - For **Custom Dashboards**, click the **Ellipse** icon → **Edit** corresponding to the dashboard where you wish to make the changes.
3. In the page’s top left corner, click the dashboard’s name or description and modify it according to your requirements.

The following demo shows how to modify a custom dashboard’s name and description.

## Reset the Dashboard to the Default View

To reset your home dashboard to the default view that Traceable provides, complete the following steps:

> Note
> 
> - The dashboard once reset, cannot be restored.
> - Dashboard reset is available only for the **Home** and **AI Security** Dashboard.

1. Log in to the Traceable platform and navigate to **Boards**→**Home**, **AI Security**.
2. In the page’s top right corner, click the **Ellipse** icon → **Reset**.
3. In the confirmation window, click **Reset**.

## Delete Dashboard

To delete a custom dashboard, complete the following steps:

> Note
> 
> - The dashboard once deleted, cannot be restored.
> - Dashboard deletion is available only for **Custom** Dashboards.

1. Log in to the Traceable platform and navigate to **Boards**→**Home** or **Custom**.
2. Click the **Ellipse** icon corresponding to the dashboard in which you wish to make the changes and do one of the following:
  1. Click **Delete**.
  2. Click **Edit** and in the page’s top right corner, click the **Ellipse**(![traceable_ellipse_icon](https://cdn.document360.io/24f14f07-13d1-4684-8fae-6d8f811768ee/Images/Documentation/traceable_ellipse_icon.png)) icon → **Delete**.
3. In the confirmation window, click **Delete**.
